Where is the culture of exchange?
Abstract
Architecture must chart an open culture of exchange with other disciplines of design and accommodate more integrated levels of dialogue in the creative process within the physical reality of the built environment as its backdrop. The craft of making buildings is not limited to architects. It exists inspite of and in absence of the professional in general.
Architecture in India must establish and strengthen its connection to the landscape and the incredible wealth of resources it has access to. Is there allowance for a counter-view? Can we assimilate and internalize this width of imagination? In the bandwidth of work, does architectural discourse ensure representation from all quarters?
Despite apparent adversarial approaches, how does architecture establish checks and measures independent of contradictions or conflicts. There must be a withdrawal from the reality.
