Cluster 06: Small Urban Projects with Intelligent Spatial Strategies

The tight urban plot in a dense neighbourhood is an omnipresent typology in cities and towns across India. With many practices challenged with a similar situation and framework of building regulations, the design response and expression become crucial in generating a memorable experience of space in such sites. The three projects chronicled here present evolved strategies and approach developed by the architects to deal with this context to generate designs that are models for building in dense urban fabrics. Therefore, these projects are cited as Special Mentions in The Merit List.
