For your convenience, some queries have been enlisted here:
Q: How many projects can I submit?
A: As many as you wish. Each project must be accompanied with an independent submission form.
Q: How old should a project be?
A: The project should have been completed in the past three years before the year of TML. (Completion Date: stated as per the cycle). In this case, the project should have been completed after August 2021.
Q: What if I want to submit an Interior/Landscape / Urban Design Project?
A: You can. In that case, the ‘area of intervention’ determines the scale of the project. Planning projects are not accepted.
Q: My data is very heavy. How can I email it?
A: Please compress the data to a minimum size as indicated in the form. The form is capacitated to take a file with maximum size of 10MB. Only incase of a video format, a single file of 100MB is permitted.
Q: I have composed panels of the project. Can I submit the same?
A: We wish to evaluate the data independent of the composition of content on Panels. It helps in the evaluation being completely objective. ONLY IF RELEVANT to the comprehension of the project, you may submit composed panels in addition to the formal requirements of project submission.
Q: I have a lot of images. Why only 15 Photographs and 10 Images?
A: If your project is short-listed, we will request further information within required formats. For the first shortlist, a restriction is introduced to prevent the jury from having content-fatigue.
Q: What if I have done this project in collaboration?
A: In that case, please mention the names of all the collaborators involved. Consultants are to be listed separately. The form has a requisite row for it.
Q: I am working on a project in a firm / it was my project during my training. Can I submit it?
A: TML takes authorship seriously. Only principal architects, design firms and architects, organisations in collaboration can submit the project. If the authorship of any project is found to be in question, the project will not be considered until such time that the issue is resolved.
Q: What about unbuilt projects? Or partially-built projects?
A: While unbuilt projects are not permissible, the Jury may consider partially-built projects, more so, phased projects with one or more phases completed as valid entries.
Q: If my project is not short-listed this year, can I re-submit again?
A: Yes. You can submit the project in the next cycle as long as it meets the eligibility criteria.
Q: When is the next cycle of submission scheduled for?
A: The 2024-24 cycle of The Merit List closed on 26th January 2025 for submissions. The next cycle will be announced next year.
